Lisa Verbakel is a self-taught artist who has been painting for several years. Working with acrylics from her home studio in London, Ontario, and drawing inspiration from photography of nature and travels, she seeks to evoke a sense of passage and movement.
With distinctive brushstrokes and energetic us of vivid colours, her work bears a resemblance to Fauvism. The power of colour is uplifting and energizes her paintings.
Lisa dabbled in painting and art for many years and studied Fashion Design at Fanshawe College, where her passion for art and bold colours began.
Her work can be found in galleries in Southwestern Ontario, as well as private homes and businesses inLondon,Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.
