The St Thomas Art Guild is a talented group of artists from all over Southwestern Ontario working creatively in a variety of media. Our annual show in 2027 will be held in March at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in St. Thomas, Ontario. We meet to share ideas, encourage process, practice, and experimentation. We provide opportunities to increase knowledge and skill among our members and share with the group our interests, enthusiasm, and enjoyment. An important mandate of our Guild is to increase public awareness of the arts in Elgin Country through various media, public relation communication, and community involvement in the arts. We were founded in 2007 by a small group of visionary and creative people with the goal of promoting the arts and artists in their community. MISSION & PURPOSE
• To share in the development and appreciation of original/fine art; • To encourage improvement through study, practice and experimentation; • To provide opportunities to increase knowledge and skill; • To learn from the sharing of ideas and expertise as well as to critique and to act as a support group with common interests, enthusiasm, and enjoyment; • To encourage the appreciation of the arts within the community by participation in various events; and • To increase public awareness of the arts in Elgin County through various media and public relation communication. |
