I started oil painting at about age 13 with a Winsor & Newton starter kit.
About 10 years ago, painting became a passion more than a pastime.
I have painted in acrylic, but I prefer oil paints. I find acrylics useful when I create a multi media composition. I have painted plein-air weather permitting, but most of my work is carried out in the studio.
A few of my favourite artists are Picasso, Magritte, Van Gogh and Cezanne, and I do create reproductions of some of their works, to get to understand how they worked.
