I have always been impressed and intrigued by colour.
As an artist, I find acrylic paints have the boldness - the intensity – that can make images demand attention. Lacking formal training in art, I have enjoyed the guidance of friends, associates and our local Art Guild in developing this new aspect.
A former wood carver, I continue to appreciate structure and natural or “homey” subjects. Alternatively, and again perhaps compensating for a lack of formal training, I find Naïve Art allows for inspirational use of colour and the presentation of subject material in unconventional ways.
