I come from a creative family. My mom was, and my sister is, an artist. Their paintings adorn my home walls and provide me with inspiration and joy every day. Although appreciative of art, I never felt the creative bug, only dabbling in pottery, rug hooking, and painting. I like working with my hands though and although I can’t really remember why I decided to give mosaic art a try, once I took a class, I was hooked.
I’m inspired by artists who create moving, relevant, beautiful, and/or thought-provoking work. I’m inspired by artists who generously share their knowledge with students like me. I’m inspired by artists who create environments of community, like the community of inspiring artists I've found at St. Thomas Art Guild.
