Figurative Sculptor and Artist
Romantic Designs I was born in Brockville, Ontario but I have lived all over Canada and Europe… I was an “Army Brat”. Now I reside with my best friend and husband Daniel, in St. Thomas, Ontario. I have been sculpting for over 30 years in polymer clay, Japanese paper, wood and more recently fiber. Sculpting is my escape and my passion. When asked, what motivates me to create, I tell them that it is the "Child in Me", I listen to her, I embrace her. I also like to paint using a variety of mediums and when I paint, I am inspired by the feeling I get from a subject and how I can convey that on canvas. I like to experiment with all mediums because I am always learning. Together with my Husband, we own Romantic Designs Studio in St. Thomas. In December of 2024, after 17 years of teaching and running our Gallery/ Gift Shop, we built a studio on our property where we both continue to create.
