As a lifelong creative, I returned to painting upon my retirement in 2018. Acrylics were my first medium and later experimented with soft pastel as well. After being diagnosed with Essential Tremor in 2020 I moved full time to pastel as it gave me more control, with acrylic inks and watercolour providing underpainting support. When I'm not in my studio, I enjoy YOU TUBE videos from a variety of artists as an invaluable learning tool. As a frequent traveller to the U.K. my work is mostly inspired by the variety of landscapes that we have enjoyed. Occasional pet portrait commissions have been a challenge and mostly for family and friends. My goal is to get out plein air painting with other artists using both pastel or watercolour. |
